To get myself familiar with blender, I modeled a simple object from my house in Blender. We practiced familiarizing ourselves with the controls of the software, edit mode, object mode, and basic textures.
I decided to model my Nespresso machine because I thought it had a good mix of round and sharp shapes, and fun textures to try and recreate.

I think for a first attempt at making something in Blender it went pretty well. I started off with a cylinder which I scaled to make longer and then tapered the back to make the basic shape of the Nespresso. The rest of it was a lot of trial and error with extruding, beveling, and creating textures.
